about

If there's a radio-friendly love song on the album, it's Moon Bop. An appreciation of Black love. An acknowledgment of the moon and the womanhood connected to it. Nate really snapped on the production of this record, and Quinn, Emlyn, and Isaiah bring it home with flute, guitar, and trumpets. This one's meant to make you dance and feel good.

lyrics

Rich Robbins:
I was in a red car now I’m in a Batmobile
Boy wonder with the sex appeal
Black love Black love how that make you feel
Like a highlight reel
Like the hype was real
Peel off from the party when the shit get real
I know the moon gonna steal all the skin you sealed
When I’m in heat and need to eat
My gullet’s clean there’s no red meat
It’s more like pink all on the sink
I’m a Big Mac sauce on the side
Cuz I meditate ‘stead of medicating my mind
Not a blip, I’m a blimp in the sky
Where the stars realign when I look in her eyes

Even when it’s dark I can see you bright as the moon
You’re my night time and noon
The baddest in the room
And I told you once, I’ll tell you twice
Black is always nice
You ain’t for no price
Oh baby

Basi:
I told Rich Robbins my niggas got rich robbin
They only had 2 options we only was too poppin
She wanna go shoe shopping what you gonna do bout it
Some niggas be too bout it they willing to shoot bout it
You better be cool gotta get to the blues
You couldn’t stand in these shoes I ain’t tryna rude
My lil baby hella bad with a bad attitude
And she know she bad she know she rude
And I don’t meditate I just medicate
This some loud pack let me levitate heavens gates
Shit hit me in the chest like Kevin gates
Damn baby I love you I want you every way
Ima star you my sunshine everyday
We could play ball in the umpire and you safe
We gone take it all way til we hit bank
We gone run it up run it back do yo thang
