about

"Red Meat" is a metaphor for the nasty things we consume and what overconsumption does to us. I made this song around the time I decided to stop eating meat. Since then, I have began eating meat again, but I am much more conscious of what kind of meat, how often I eat it, and try not to be dependent on it to feel "full". If I put something in my body that was poisoned, beaten, or tortured while it was alive, then I will feel that energy when it makes its way through my body. I want to feel alive so I have to be conscious of what goes in. This applies to social media, toxic relationships, etc.

lyrics

And I know

You ain’t have to leave this shit without saying goodbye
The dark side of me keeps creeping into the light
And I know
I’d be lying if I said it ain’t bother me
At this point I owe my body an apology
Red meat, blood on the dinner plate
All this dead weight no wonder I got stomach pain
If I gotta die young imma die hard
If I gotta die alone it’s gonna be hard
Slow down, had to breath for a sec and just look around
All this family I got, I thought I needed you
Calling you like Beetle Juice
Every single day and night, I think I wanna marry you still
Bury you still
Baby you kill me
This amount of energy I wasted is filthy

Okay first thing’s first
Fuck social media
As I’m getting older, dog, I’m only getting greedier for attention
I’m in bed like it’s detention
Scrolling through your news feed seeing if you mentioned
Any clues about being shady or crazy
Looking for epiphanies in like 2018
I used to play baseball they put me on the A team
And that’s important context for this little content
I used to run bases round these shorties with no contest
Team spirit was the only thing that weighed on my chest
And now I got a whole weight room in my brain
I thought I retired but you so good at playing games
You once asked how you could help with my anxiety
And then you turned around and did the things that weren’t right with me
If this applies to you, then fix the resume
Or we can turn this little honeymoon into an anime

You ain’t have to leave this shit without saying goodbye
The dark side of me keeps creeping into the light
And I know
I’d be lying if I said it ain’t bother me
At this point I owe my body an apology
Red meat, blood on the dinner plate
All this dead weight no wonder I got stomach pain

Klevah:
Didn’t know I was needy
Thirsty for ya Fiji
U Keep it pourin Im absorbing it
But u was not the source of this
water got me fluent like Contortionist
...I’m multi-Body,
practically poly ...let’s talk about it
He pose da question
...I been hurt too many times to be possisive
I don’t wrote too many rhymes why we textin ain’t no message...
I need substance need abundance need relfection
Nourish me abundance

Truth:
Mental drain feeling da pain, I need a wake up
My honey Bee gave me the tea, now
I po’ drank up
That’s herbal, non-verbal how I’m connected to Source
Gave the weak shyt the curb, now I’m back on course
So scurt-scurt w/ a real one, we don’t do the artificial
Plant some knowledge in my mental
every seed for higher living, u about that
Then bounce back, I’m in a drop-top
Having flashbacks, I was big cap
Now it’s big stacks, spirit fed
Can u match that?
