about

I've always wanted to be more playful with my song titles. The title of this record is more of an image than a nod at the song's content. When I think of child I think of innocence. When I think of a clam I think of a beach which is where a horizon is most beautiful. Where it is most understood. When I think of a child with a clam I think of how innocence is earning to go back to somewhere beyond its reach. There is a line about dying and wanting to be sent into space. There is also a repetition of the phrase "home". Home is not a physical space -- it is more of a memory. Home is nostalgic, and so is this record. I have a theory that this will be the most listened to record when it's all said and done.

lyrics

Voicemail:
Yo
Yo ay did you want some Jimmy John’s
Shit um
Cuz I’m outside there right now
Aw yea then in that case can I get a number 5, no onions
No onions
Yea and can you add light mayo
Alright bet and you want chips and like um no onions, you want chips or a drink
Nah I’m good
Alright bet bet bet
I’ll just get chips at the studio
Alright bet
Alright mate
Alright mate
And then you transition

Rich Robbins:
Please don’t let this be cliché
Sometimes I lose control and I just do what the beat say
Don’t skip until the song’s done
Skip rocks till the moon comes
I can see better in the dark
I can see a silhouette heart
I can see a demon in a European speeding toward me with skid marks
When the road get this narrow?
I was just on the highway
Headed home like a dead pharaoh but I crashed and I met Yahweh
My home isn’t real estate
If I die send me into space with a Playboy and a full plate

Working on my way back home to ya
My way to you
Working on my way back home to ya
My way to you
My way
Working on my
My way
Working on my way back home to ya
Way to you
My way to you

Working on my way back home to ya
Working on my way back home to ya
Home home home

Voicemail:
If you have too much light, you know, you wouldn’t be able to see the horizon, right?
And if you don’t have enough light, you can’t see it
So I think that’s where like, a balance happens

My way
Home
My way
Home
My way
Home

Voicemail:
And then you transition
Damn, from the sun and the moon to the shade and the light it’s all about the balance
Done, that’s perfect
Thank you
Cool thank you
And it’s 3 o’clock
